About Us
It all began in 1971, when Stan Shouldice began driving cattle trucks to and from the local sale barns out of his family farm.
In 1974, Stan bought his first cab-over truck and began hauling for various companies. Over the next few years, he bought and sold several trucks and then he met Sandra in 1996. From there, they turned an idea of developing a family-based company into a reality. They bought their second truck in 1997, and then two more trucks in 2000. Fast forward to 2010 and expansion came again. It was clear, this growing company needed a space to call their own. Stan and Sandra opened their first shop in the east end of Ottawa and not only did they increase their fleet to 12 units but they increased their staff as well. Their team included an office manager, operations supervisors, a 24 hour dispatch and maintenance personnel to improve daily operations.
In 2016, Shouldice Trucking had outgrown its yard in Ottawa, and a shop was purchased near Hwy 401 in Prescott Ontario. The business opened its new doors in 2018. Today, the fleet has grown to over 45 units, including several pieces of heavy machinery, dry vans, float trailers, a mobile wash unit and continues to grow annually.
